About Sam

Sam Chui currently works
as a freelance aviation photographer with frequently contracted work
and assignments throughout the world. This website contains Sam's most
current photographic work and his personal interest and collections.
Sam has participated and won several photo competitions, and most
recently one of his
Qantas Airways photos
has been selected as the first place winner in the photo competition at
the 2003 Airliners International annual convention held in Columbus,
Ohio. Moreover, he also won the same competition again next year at
Airliners International 2004 in Los Angeles, with
a unique Singapore
Airlines 747-400 air-to-air takeoff photo taken from above in a chase
plane. In 2006, Sam has won the runner up price of Photograph of the
year in the National Aviation Press Club Photo Competition, his entry
features a striking last second rotation of a Russian Airliner in Phuket.
In 2009 Sam have won the same price again for Photograph of the
year, this time an
Air to Ground capture of many pakred airliners in the desert,
reflecting the current economic downturn.
Sam has travelled extensively to over 50 countries around every
continent in the world (except Antarctica). His destinations have
included the continental United States, Australia, Asia-Pacific
countries, frequently visiting these countries several times each year
in search of new photo opportunities and assignments. Sam is
specializing in the Asian/Pacific/American region and has a passion for
photography of those parts of the world.
Sam provides professional photo-shooting services for any
aviation-related opportunities and events, such as air shows, public
relations events, emergency response exercises, airport
operations, conferences, airline publicity stunts
and aerial photography anywhere in the world. All clients will be
treated with the utmost importance and priority in all situations, and

inquiry.

EQUIPMENT
Sam uses the latest technology to conduct and
enhance his aviation photography. His 'gear' includes a 12.4 MegaPixel Nikon
Digital SLR (single-lens reflex) digital camera and
state-of-the-art Nikon traditional film camera capable of up to nine (9)
FPS (frames per second).
